for those familiar with this building here is a daytime shot of the new colour scheme next door ......... which is relevant to my afternoon as i spent a couple of hours dicussing in minute detail the museum's new "corporate" colour for logos, graphics, decor, etc .... i'm now suffering from colour swatch fatigue .......

sometimes the day begins badly,
but ends brimming with possibilities.
i love those kind of days.

management training at work today.
it's all worthwhile stuff but it does mean a day out of my normal week,
which means i dread tomorrow.
been suffering from such a bad headache this evening
that i can't even face a piece of chocolate cake
so instead i am listening to the sound of H enjoying his...
and the fairy lights are on,
and the shopping is done,
and the washing up finished,
what now?

back to this beautiful weather again ...
a lovely sunday spent in the garden planting, out walking, making cakes,
and spotting my new favourite plant at the garden centre.

91::366

spent the day in kingston doing a spot of shopping.
the mind boggles at the sheer amount of STUFF on offer;
it's no wonder so many people are in debt in this country!
would have been a wonderful day for a stroll by the river had it not been so overcast.

a long day ending with pottery ..... no not this creature but my first go at making multi-section pots ...... i'm now exhausted ......

82::366

i had to get up much earlier than usual today for an early start at work.
the sun had only just come up and there was a lovely soft light on the wall
which reminded me of all singer sargent's whites that aren't really white when you look closely.
much like many things in life,
if you look closely.

equally frantic day:
arranging russian visas;
managing guest list for 200 tomorrow morning;
performance reviews;
[intermission: going to the hockney exhibition again at lunch time just to sit in front of his calming videos;]
phone calls;
diary clashes;
meeting rooms;
traffic;
folk songs;
tube;
train;
car;
blog;
bed.

frantic day, double booked appointments, long list phone messages, longer list emails, interview on Vectis radio, writing copy for leaflet, researching exhibition, looking after volunteers, trying to say "no" politely to people, standing in as phone receptionist, explaining to Southern Water man that I could not help him locate the donkeys' water supply which has seized up .....
